The Great Gay Bake Off will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Woody’s on Church Street in Toronto.

2025
The Bake Off expanded to two events for the first time. This marked the third year hosted by Heaps Estrin Real Estate Team and the first public competition. Woody’s Bar on Church Street became the official venue, and together the two events raised a record $29,000.
2024
As the political climate—both in Canada and internationally—became increasingly uncertain for the LGBT community, particularly for trans people, the Bake Off returned for its second year. The focus was renewed: to show LGBT young people that LGBT adults and allies were ready to step up, support essential services like Youth Line, and lead with joy and visibility.
2023
The first Great Gay Bake Off was created to support LGBT Youth Line after the organization lost critical government programming after the COVID‑19 pandemic. While working at Heaps Estrin Real Estate Team, Jeff Brown, alongside LGBT staff and agents at the firm, came together to launch the inaugural competition.
